With a passion for helping believers and seekers alike have
a clearer understanding of just how much they are loved by God, Tom writes songs
that both tell a story and help usher people into an attitude of worship.
"So often in our walk with Jesus, we settle for visitation rights when we
have an all out father-child relationship available to us." Frye says.
Tom's desire is that the church awaken to it's full
potential and actively start living Jesus in every moment of every day, in order
that the truth of the Gospel may be demonstrated in the life of each believer. In addition to performing concerts, leading worship services and worship seminars, Tom also works with the youth worship band Y US, at his home church of Westchester United Methodist. Tom started playing guitar during his sophomore year at Ball State University, and by the next year he was writing songs. After returning home from College he began leading worship at the Sardinia Church in Bryant, Indiana. With a lot of prodding from his pastor, Tom began playing specials as part of the worship service. It was through his relationship with Pastor Marty and others, as well as a few unforeseen circumstances, including a lost voice and a broken foot, that lead Tom to start performing outside his church. Tom enjoys many different styles of music, and credits several songwriters in influencing him. Most notably, Rich Mullins, Mitch McVicker, Andrew Peterson, Jennifer Knapp, eLi, and Mac Powell of Third Day, are just some of the CCM Songwriters Tom enjoys. Tom is also a fan of Southern Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd, fellow Hoosiers, John Mellencamp, and John Hiatt, as well as John Prine, and Elvis.
